DataGroomr September ‘24 Release Notes: New Verifications, AWS S3 Integration and Matching Model Enhancements

By October 24, 2024No Comments

Fall is here! With these new features and matching model improvements, we’re sure that you’ll be FALL-ing head over heels for these new features!

Website Verification

Ever wonder if a website address has been correctly entered into your Salesforce database? Wonder no more; Brushr’s validation capabilities have been extended to handle website verifications. Start by adding the field containing the URL to be verified into the Brushr dataset; then trigger a verification on the field. Each website verification costs only 1 credit and can be incorporated into any standard verification trigger or a scheduled job. Websites that do not have a valid certificate or are inaccessible are marked as invalid.

Phone Line Type Identification

Brushr has also been extended to provide more information about phone number fields stored in Salesforce. In addition to determining whether a phone number will dial, an additional Line Type field has been added to indicate the line carrier and line type. Options for Line Type include Mobile, Landline, Premium Landline, Toll Free Landline, Virtual, Pager and Unknown. To start using this feature, toggle the option for “Extended Phone Number Verification” within the Manage Subscription menu. Note that when this feature is off, the cost of each phone verification is 1 credit; when this feature is enabled, phone verification cost will increase to 5 credits.

Integration of AWS S3

Importr is now able to pull in CSV files stored within an AWS S3 bucket for automated Salesforce imports and updates.  This feature allows DataGroomr the ability to load CSV source files that have been created by external automations.

Integration of AWS S3

AWS S3 connections are now listed in the Cloud Storage Providers menu in Supervisr.  Add, remove or modify cloud connections through Supervisr > Integration > Cloud Storage. Cloud storage providers include SFTP and AWS S3.

Auto Import and Auto Update from Cloud Folders

When the ‘Auto-upload new files’ feature is toggled on, DataGroomr will poll the cloud source for the new files. This includes source locations such as Salesforce, SFTP servers and AWS S3. When new files are detected, you have the option to choose whether to auto import or auto update matched records without ever introducing duplicates into your Salesforce system.

Importr Mass Processed Section

Whenever you or an automation triggers a mass update of Salesforce, records will now appear in the new “Mass Processed Records” section. Much like the imported records section, this new section allows you to see any mass update modifications made to Salesforce at a quick glance.

Enhancements On Classic Matching Models

We’ve added new customization parameters to DataGroomr’s Classic Matching Models.

First, we’ve added the ability to create matching models that find duplicate records by matching against blank fields. This gives the model the ability to match records if one or both values in the records being compared are empty.

Next, we’ve added the ability to treat record values as a collective group. This is useful for detecting duplicates if field values are misplaced between fields. For example, matching records in the Account record where the Shipping State or Billing State might be populated differently in each record.

Finally, you can now find duplicate records by matching against blank fields. This gives the model the ability to match records if one or both values in the records being compared are empty.
