In the May ‘25 release, we focus on two big themes: putting more intelligence at your fingertips and making large-scale actions feel surgical instead of scary. Here’s how these ideas show up throughout the platform.
AI Assistant in Rules Editor
The AI Assistant, that you are used to seeing while reviewing records or creating matching models, now enters the rules ecosystem.
Master and Field merge rules: Describe the logic in plain English and the Assistant drafts the full Field Merge and Master Selection workflow, ready for review.
Transform rules and data-quality checks: Bring the same conversational power to cleansing tasks or field-level validations and transforms, shaving minutes or hours from rule construction.
Transform Prior to Matching
DataGroomr’s industry-leading matching models just got even smarter thanks to brand-new transform preprocessing rules. You’ll notice a new “Transform rule” option in the preprocessing dropdown of matching models. This lets you run a full transform before the matching algorithm computes a similarity score – perfect for matching on email domains or trimming prefixes on the fly; no extra helper fields or upfront standardization is required.
Pin-Point Precision for Mass Actions
Managing data in large batches may get dangerous when you can’t target exactly what you want. The May release adds three features that give you surgeon-level control:
- Dual match-confidence slider – Every mass operation (merge, convert, update) as well as scheduled jobs now sports two handles, upper and lower limit. Want to merge only borderline matches between 80 – 95
- Model-aware filters – When several matching models flag duplicates, you can confine an action to selected models (or tag) without building a new dataset.
- Group-size filters – Target duplicate groups of a specific size. This is perfect for knocking out the easy one-to-one duplicates while leaving larger, messier tangles for a second pass.
Combined, these controls make high-volume operations feel almost granular.
UI Tweaks that Save Time
Small touches often have an outsized impact. Fields can now be rearranged with an order dropdowns. Even if this feature is not a headliner, it smoothes the daily flow by a lot!
Enhanced Visuals in Emails
A picture is worth a thousand words; so DataGroomr emails just graduated from plain-text scorecards to colorful charts that mirror your dashboard. Open your morning summary and you’ll see an instant duplicate breakdown without clicking into the app.
Faster Pipelines and Friendlier APIs
Behind the scenes, we widened several data pipes:
- Export IDs-only: A blazing-fast CSV option that skips field look-ups and returns nothing but Salesforce IDs—ideal for downstream scripts.
- Lead-to-Contact conversions: Batch size now scales up to Salesforce’s API ceiling, turning marathon jobs into sprints.
- Dataset API v2: Page through 1,000 records at a time, pull imported-record IDs directly, and enjoy a juiced rate limit of 60 req/min.
The result is quicker feedback loops for both humans and integrations.
Plus, we have dozens of smaller fixes which can be viewed here.
What’s Next?
