When working with data, whether inside some information systems or specifically in Salesforce, poor data will waste valuable time, lead to system performance issues, bad decision-making and lost revenues. Our vision at DataGroomr is that data hygiene doesn’t have to be difficult. We’ve successfully applied machine learning to data deduplication and today we are pleased to announce the beta release of our new data quality module, Brushr.
Brushr employs AI technology to evaluate the quality of your Salesforce data; and verify contact information like email addresses and phone numbers.
Data quality assessment
The module is available from the left-hand side menu. Similar to other modules, we start by adding a dataset. Going to Data Verification tab on the dataset configuration dialog, we can select fields that will be available for verification. In this release, we include email and phone number verification. Address verification is coming soon.
Once a dataset is created the AI-powered data quality analysis kicks in right away. The result of this analysis is a Data Quality score based on core fields such First Name, Last Name, Company, Country, Phone and Email fields.
The last column, Data Quality Value (DQV) combines the Data Quality score (described above) and any verifications executed against emails and phone numbers.
Email and phone verification
Emails and phone numbers can be verified en masse using MASS VERIFY button or individually by clicking the data validity tag in any record. Records may also be selected and reviewed similarly to Trimmr.Â
Verification will require the use of purchased credits. Phone number verification will consume 1 credit, while email verification consumes 3 credits. Brushr only deducts credits from your balance upon a successful verification.
During the beta period, all existing customers will receive up to 10,000 free verification credits per month.
As with other AI-based tools, the system improves the accuracy based on user feedback. We offer the same feature for both the Data Quality score and any verification.
Importr: Compare to dataset
Users have requested the capability to compare CSV files against subsets of the data in Salesforce objects. We deliver that functionality in this release with the Compare to Dataset feature. Now, when uploading a CSV file, you may select a dataset that will be used as a baseline for comparison.
We are continuing work to extend this feature in future releases, including the ability to compare against multiple objects. For example, a CSV file may be compared to both Leads and Contacts during the same scan.
What’s coming in the next release?Â
Here’s what you can expect next in DataGroomr:

- Manage and create your own data standardization rules in Supervisr
