Powerful Verification App Applies AI for Quick & Consistent Data Accuracy

Ensuring that the data you have is the correct data is a daily quest every organization struggles with. According to a report from PwC, In data we trust: Living up to the credo of the 21st century, 86% of executives surveyed reported that their companies “are in a race to extract value from data.” That value is only possible if the data is accurate. Helping organizations across industries to keep their data clean has been our mission since we started DataGroomr. Every day, we work on improving how data is cleaned and managed. Through the power of AI, we’ve engineered DataGroomr to be the easiest app on the Salesforce AppExchange for data deduplication. And now, we have exciting news!

This type of data quality management is more important than ever. According to a report from McKinsey Global Institute, data-driven organizations are 23% times more likely to acquire new customers, as well as being six times as likely to retain those new customers.

Forrester corroborates these facts, finding that when organizations rely on data management tools to make decisions, they are 58% more likely to beat revenue goals than non-data-driven companies. In addition, these digital-first businesses are 162% more likely to outperform revenue goals than those with outdated architectures.

Out-of-date, mistyped, duplicate, or incorrectly allocated metadata can lead to inaccurate ‘analysis’ and ultimately a loss of customer trust, according to data from Loqate. Each year, consumer data degrades on average by 13%, and business data by 37%, while more than 50% of firms state that poor quality location data is one of the biggest inhibitors to their ability to leverage location intelligence.

The bottom line on becoming a data-driven organization is that whether data is new or historic, it needs to be verified and enriched at the point-of-entry and on an ongoing basis once inside your database. The solution is for companies to develop deep partnerships with suitable vendors to fill the gaps generated by the introduction of new data.

Why You Should Implement a Reliable Way to Assure Data Verification

Data verification is crucial for maintaining data quality. Especially when implementing cloud migrations, which result in data being pulled from different platforms and ecosystems, companies need to prioritize the validity and quality of data.

Your customer data, especially phone, address and email records, are key data attributes needed to create and maintain a golden customer record. Data on customer location, what they buy, and how they are targeted for advertising by those that want to sell to them, drives company strategy. Complicating the collection of this data is that consumers don’t exist solely on one channel. As demand for seamless digital experiences grows, more consumers want to choose how they communicate and engage with businesses.

Brands need to keep up with demand and reach customers where they are by investing in high-value channels like SMS text messaging, email, and social media marketing. Ninety-one percent of consumers are interested in signing up for texts, but not all businesses offer it yet. When it comes to email marketing, 85% of the US population are active email users. Yet, only 10% of email addresses collected by businesses are accurate. Further, just a 1% increase in unverified email addresses in your database can cause your email deliverability to drop by 10%.

Clean data is essential for analysis, insights and strategy-building. While enterprises use address, phone and email data to gather insights or develop strategies, doing so without adding a layer of data verification into their data fabric guarantees the data that gets collected is unverified and basically unusable as a result.
