Data Startup Applies Machine Learning to Deduplicate Data in Salesforce

PHILADELPHIA, PA, April 28, 2021 – Technology startup, DataGroomr, headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, has developed a new way of identifying and eliminating duplicates in Salesforce data through machine learning. Machine learning, a subset of artificial intelligence, is projected to reduce manual tasks in data management by 45% through the end of 2022, according to a report from Gartner.

DataGroomr is the only app on the Salesforce AppExchange to apply machine learning for the deduplication process. Most processes require filters or are rules based. Founded by Steve Pogrebivsky and Ben Novoselsky in 2020, DataGroomr applies machine learning algorithms so that businesses of any size can easily improve the quality and reliability of their Salesforce data.

“The prospect of being able to use machine learning to enhance data integrity ensures that leads and contacts can be accurately portrayed and pursued by sales,” commented Steve Pogrebivsky. “That accuracy helps businesses grow.”

Salesforce reported in 2019 that 62% of customers are willing to submit their data to AI to improve their experience with businesses. According to Gartner research, “The average financial impact of poor data quality on organizations is $9.7 million per year.”
